Are Geovita Mixed Grains pre-cooked?

Yes! All of our ingredients in the grain mixes are pre-cooked with our special all-natural steaming process called GeoCook.

What does GeoCook mean?

The GeoCook Innovation System is a technology that precooks the ingredients with an all-natural steaming process, allowing for quick cooking of the product without compromising taste, quality and nutritional features.

What is the shelf life of Geovita mixed grains?

The shelf life of our Geovita mixed grains products is 18 months.

How do I know if my Geovita product has expired?

Each Geovita package has a “Best Before” date stamped on it at time of manufacturing. The “Best Before” date code is read as follows:

BB: YYYY-MM-DD
For example, if the Best Before date reads: 2021-08-30 (August 30, 2021), then the product will be expired after this date.

Do I need to rinse the grains before cooking them?

No, there is no need to rinse the grains.

Can I freeze the product after cooking it?

YES! Leftover cooked Geovita grains can be stored in a re-sealable freezer bag in the freezer for up to 2 months. Quick-thaw the grains by placing the sealed bag in a bowl of hot water for 15 minutes. Thawed, cooked grains can easily be tossed into salads, soups, stir-fries and so much more. Are Geovita mixed grains Non-GMO Project Verified?

Yes, Geovita mixed grains have been Non-GMO Project Verified.

How do I use Geovita mixed grains?
